Primary antibodies used for Western blot analysis and immunofluorescence were mouse monoclonals for HO-1, OSA-110; Hsp-27, SPA-800; Hsp70, SPA-810 (Stressgen, San Diego, CA); β-tubulin, Tub 2.1 (mouse ascites; Sigma-Aldrich); rabbit polyclonals for ZO-1, 61-7300; occludin, 71-1500 (Zymed Laboratories Inc., S. San Francisco, CA); and mouse monoclonals for N-cadherin, 610920; β-catenin, 610653; (Transduction Laboratories, Lexington, KY); and CRALBP, B2 (a kind gift of John C. Saari, University of Washington, Seattle, WA). FITC-conjugated secondary antibodies (Dako, Cambridge, UK) were used for immunofluorescence, and horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated antibodies (Sigma-Aldrich) were used for Western blot analysis.
