Erratum in: “Rethinking A2E” by R. Theodore Smith, Paul S. Bernstein, and Christine A. Curcio (Invest Ophthalmol Vis Sci. 2013;54:5543) doi:10.1167/iovs.13-12798
The last sentence of the first paragraph should read as follows: “Using the elegant new method of imaging mass spectrometry, this manuscript clearly and convincingly shows that, unlike in the mouse retina, where A2E and lipofuscin topographies closely correspond, the human retina has significant RPE lipofuscin throughout the posterior pole but an A2E trough in the macula.”
