Abstract

A crystallike body is reported in the cytoplasm of the endothelial cells of the retinal capillaries of a presumably normal dog. These structures closely resemble those previously reported in the macaque monkey by Ishikawa. The exact nature of this crystallike structure is unknown, although evidence suggests that it may be either a lipoprotein, metal conjugate, or a virus.
