Abstract
An electron microscope study of ultrathin sections of two rhabdomyosarcomas revealed the presence of cytologic characteristics previously described in neoplasias: nuclear envelope invagination, reduction in number of organelles, reduced size of mitochondria, stoollen mitochondria. In addition, one group of seven centrioles was observed and many cells revealed the presence of aggregates of small, dense particles. Groups of fibrous structures were occasionally encountered.
