Abstract
Purpose:
Cinical effect of vitrectomy combined with retinal photocoagulation for proliferative diabetic retinopathy (proliferative diabetic retinopathy, PDR)
Methods:
A retrospective analysis of 2009 July to 2012 November in our hospital underwent vitrectomy, postoperative fundus fluorescein angiography, 72 patients with PDR 4 weeks to retinal photocoagulation (104 eyes), the patients were followed up for more than 12 months, analysising the statistics of preoperative, postoperative and final corrected vision with the operation complications.
Results:
Retinal photocoagulation (last retinal photocoagulation) within 1 weeks after the visual acuity increased rate of 88.46% (92/104), in January the visual acuity increased rate of 92.31 (96/104), 3 months the visual acuity increased rate of 90.38% (94/104), one with neovascular glaucoma, 6 months the visual acuity increased rate of 88.46% (92/104), which one eye with retinal detachment, 12 months the visual acuity increased rate of 80.77% (84/104), and 2 eyes with silicone oil emulsification, along with the development of diabetic retinopathy, the visual acuity increased rate of decline, increased complications silicone oil eye operation, especially in V phase and VI phase eyes.
Conclusions:
Vitrectomy combined with retinal photocoagulation in treatment of PDR is safe and effective, Which can have a definite object in view of radiography of vitreous retinal photocoagulation after resection and reduce excessive photocoagulation, Also it can prevent the photo coagulation deficiencies, improve the visual acuity effectively and reduce the complications.
