Abstract

Purpose: : To measure the macular choroidal thickness of highly myopic glaucoma by optical coherence tomography(OCT) and to compere with highly myopic glaucoma classify into stage of glaucoma.

Methods: : 88 eyes classify into stage of glaucoma using Aulhorn classification Greve changing method. Macular choroidal thickness measured by Cirrus HD-OCT(Carl Zeiss Meditec),compere stage0 and stage0-1(26 eyes)with stage1~stage6(62 eyes),and correlate with the MD score of Humphrey SITA standerd(30-2).

Results: : Mean macular choroidal thickness in the stage1~stage6 groups was significantly thinner in the stage0 and stage0-1 groups. (127.8±58.8μm VS 170.7±62.45μm P=0.0082). There was significantly difference between MD score and macular choroidal thickness. (r=0.229,p=0.0391)

Conclusions: : Degree of glaucoma damage in highly myopic glaucoma patients was associated with macular choroidal thickness. Macular choroidal thickness is somehow related with disease state of glaucoma.
