Abstract

Purpose: : To propose a new dual focus dual channel spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) to simultaneously image the whole eye surfaces from the cornea to the retina.

Methods: : In this SD-OCT system, anterior segments of the eye from the cornea to the posterior surface of the crystalline lens are imaged with full range complex (FRC) SD-OCT in one channel, and the retina is imaged in the other.

Results: : The performance of our OCT system by imaging the whole ocular surfaces of a healthy human eye in vivo is demonstrated.

Conclusions: : This custom built system has great potential applications in ophthalmic research, such as accommodation, refraction, ocular growth and biometry of the eye.

Keywords: imaging methods (CT, FA, ICG, MRI, OCT, RTA, SLO, ultrasound) • anterior segment • accommodation
