Abstract
Purpose: :
To assess the usefulness of a new high-resolution AS-OCT in qualification and follow up of patients treated with lamellar corneal grafts
Methods: :
30 patients qualified for DSAEK, DMEK or DALK were examined with Cassia SS-OCT before the procedure and during the follow up.
Results: :
The images obtained by the new technology were generally of better quality than those taken by time-domain AS-OCTs. It was possible to visualize Descemet's membrane graft after DMEK, as well as detached Descemet's membrane after DALK. The new features including fast multiple scans, 3D presentation, keratometric, elevation and pachymetric maps provided useful information for evaluating patient's condition. The examinations were well tolerated by the patients.
Conclusions: :
The new imaging device can be successfully used for assessment of the patients treated with corneal transplantations.
