Abstract

Purpose: : We devised a questionnaire (QN) to assess the level of knowledge of DM in the VN and Caucasian (C) communities in San Jose, CA.

Methods: : Participants were given a QN of 11 questions concerning DM: health risks, frequency of visits to a physician, and family history. QNs were distributed to schools, colleges, churches, community centers in San Jose, CA.Results: 200 QN were analyzed; 100 C avg age=32.7yrs+6; 100 VN avg age=41.51yrs+11.78. All
