Abstract

Abstract: : Purpose:To determinate the efficacy of Photodinamic Therapy with Green Indocyanin in the closure of the corneal neovascularization Methods:Corneal sutures were performed after general anesthesia in one eye of ten rabbits. After one week, photographies and angiographies were performed inall cases. The neovascularization areas were treated by using infrared laser diodo after injection of green indocyanin. The outcome was measure with Electronic Microscopy Results:A selective occlusion of corneal neovascularization from Photodinamic Therapy with Indocyanin was observed in all rabbits without alteration of the others structures Conclusion:The Green Indocyanin is a great photosensibelizer that make photodynamic closure of new vessel particulary, probably because of preferential biodistribution
