Statistical analysis was performed by using SPSS V.18.0 for Windows (SPSS, Inc., Chicago, IL, USA). The ANGPTL4, VEGF, nonperfusion area, CSMT, and TMV results are expressed as mean ± standard deviation (SD). Independent t-test and χ2 tests were used to compare the BRVO and control groups. To assess the relationship between aqueous biomarker concentrations and BRVO phenotypes (namely, nonperfusion area, CSMT, and TMV), Pearson's correlation coefficients and 95% confidence intervals were calculated. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to adjust for the aqueous VEGF concentration. P values of less than 0.05 were considered to indicate statistical significance.
