Abstract

Presentation Description : Infantile strabismus occurs due to breakdown of binocular vision during the developmental critical period. However the state of strabismus can change even after the critical period and into adulthood. It is likely that a combination of central neural and muscle adaptive factors mediate the variation in strabismus over time. In this mini-symposium, speakers will consider the changes in strabismus over time from a theoretical, clinical, neural and muscle perspective.

This is an abstract that was submitted for the 2016 ARVO Annual Meeting, held in Seattle, Wash., May 1-5, 2016.
