Abstract

Presentation Description : Young infants must coordinate their retinal image quality and alignment in order to support normal binocular development. This presentation will cover the early development of vergence motor responses, including the challenges that are apparently overcome with immaturities in interocular distance and refractive error. Implications for both typical and atypical development will be discussed.

This is an abstract that was submitted for the 2018 ARVO Annual Meeting, held in Honolulu, Hawaii, April 29 - May 3, 2018.
