Abstract
Purpose :
To describe the previously unreported finding of outer retinal tubulations on optical coherence tomography in Boucher-Neuhauser syndrome.
Methods :
Optical coherence tomography was performed on a patient with Boucher-Neuhauser Syndrome.
Results :
Outer retinal tubulations, a finding previously reported in various types of retinitis pigmentosa, as well as other inherited retinal dystrophies and age-related macular degeneration, are found to be present in this patient with chorioretinal dystrophy associated with Boucher-Neuhauser syndrome.
Conclusions :
Certain aspects of the pathogenesis of chorioretinal atrophy associated with Boucher-Neuhauser syndrome appear to parallel aspects of other inherited and non-inherited retinal dystrophies and degenerations.
