Abstract

Presentation Description : Increases in cancer, with an aging population, and the rapid development of new chemotherapeutics underscore the need to identify and manage potential ocular toxicities. Vision researchers can find clues from these side effects as to the underlying mechanisms important for ocular homeostasis and ideas for translational strategies to mitigate toxicity. This talk will review common ocular toxicities, management, and mechanistic theories behind the toxicity.

This abstract was presented at the 2019 ARVO Annual Meeting, held in Vancouver, Canada, April 28 - May 2, 2019.
