Abstract

Presentation Description : There is evidence of an association between near work and myopia, but it is unclear whether there is causation. Objective measurements are needed to improve our current understanding of the effect of near work in myopia. Current technologies may also allow behavioral changes and control of near work. In this talk, an update of the recent understanding of near work and myopia as well as current technologies to measure and to modify behaviors will be provided.

This abstract was presented at the 2023 ARVO Annual Meeting, held in New Orleans, LA, April 23-27, 2023.
