Abstract

Presentation Description : The goal of this presentation is to enhance audience knowledge of ocular disease etiology, pathophysiology and treatment. I will present a summary of statistical genetics methods and results for a number of ocular diseases, focusing on data being obtained from large biobank-scale studies. I will provide examples of genes that are already being targeted as biomarkers, or those that can be used for drug development/repurposing.

This abstract was presented at the 2024 ARVO Annual Meeting, held in Seattle, WA, May 5-9, 2024.
